Participants of the SFE Conference are expected to follow the presentation standards outlined below. Whether presenting in person or remotely, these guidelines are designed to ensure a smooth, professional, and engaging experience for all.
Duration: Up to 10 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for Q&A.
Presenter: Must be delivered by the author or co-author.
Equipment: Bring your own laptop or use a venue-provided device (Windows preferred).
File Format: PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx) or PDF.
Compatibility: We recommend using Microsoft PowerPoint and Windows OS for maximum compatibility.
Support: On-site volunteers will assist with setup and transitions.
Size: Posters should measure 36 inches (width) × 48 inches (height).
Print Responsibility: Authors must print and bring their own posters.
Setup Time: Posters must be mounted before the opening ceremony.
Display Duration: Posters will remain up throughout the scheduled session.
Presenter Availability: At least one author should be present at the poster during the session to answer questions.
Dismantling: Remove your poster immediately after the session ends.
Duration: 10 minutes for the presentation + 2 minutes for Q&A.
Platform: All virtual sessions will be conducted via Zoom.
Log-in Time: Presenters must join at least 30 minutes before their scheduled session.
File Sharing: Presentation files should be shared in advance in case of connection issues.
Tech Check: Test audio, video, and slides ahead of time using the Zoom Test Meeting.
Environment: Ensure a quiet, well-lit background with minimal distractions.
Duration: Maximum of 10 minutes.
File Format: Submit in MP4 or MOV with clear audio and video.
Submission Deadline: Send your video at least 5 days before the conference.
Content: The video should replicate a live presentation with screen sharing, narration, and presenter visibility (if possible).
Live Q&A: Authors must be available during the scheduled playback for a 2-minute live Q&A session. If unavailable, a co-author or nominated representative may attend.
Backup Submission: We recommend also submitting the presentation slides separately as a precaution.
Use professional visuals and avoid cluttered slides.
Maintain a logical flow: introduction, methodology, results, conclusion.
Stick to the time limit to respect the conference schedule.
Speak clearly and confidently; rehearse if needed.
Avoid reading directly from slides — aim for engagement and clarity.
